Brendon Lawson

Having succumbed to the Taupo lifestyle from Auckland, Brendon brings along 5 years experience with the Ford, FPV and Mazda product. Having started in the industry as a Qualified Automotive Engineer for 15 yrs he moved on to fill a position as Workshop Foreman then to Senior Service advisor. Eventually he found himself in Sales; with this experience his knowledge base is huge.
Outside of work hours you will normally find him and family travelling around the countryside attending horse events or enjoying a beer and BBQ with friends.

Steven Greenwood

The newest member of our sales team having moved north from the shaky city of Christchurch. Steven brings 5 years of franchise experience to the dealership.

With a passion for saltwater and freshwater fishing, motorsports and the great outdoors, Steven is loving what Taupo has to offer.

Tim Sullivan ( Parts manager )

Tim Sullivan is another long standing Central Motor Group team member, with 12 years at the dealership.
While Tim is a qualified mechanic, his primary role is that of Parts Manager, and it is his job to work with staff, technicians, customers and review work orders.
When he’s not doing that, Tim spends his time on the computer and telephone keeping the inventory well stocked so that the dealership can maintain highly efficient service standards.

Steve Waters ( Service Adviser )

Steve joins Central Motor Group with a staggering 35 years of motor industry experience. Cars are definitely his thing. I am sure Steve will know what you are talking about with those difficult queries. In his spare time you will find him behind a camera or a bow practising archery. Climbing and tramping also help him clear his mind of all those makes and models he encounters at work.

Ryan Weale ( Parts Assistant )

As the newest member of our Parts & Service team, Ryan maintains the parts stock, ensures the Technicians have their required parts to service your vehicle and will source all your Parts requirements.
When not pursuing his Motorsport and BMX hobbies, Ryan enjoys time with family and four year old son.

Melissa Johnson ( Customer Care Administrator )

Responsible for Service and Warrant of Fitness due date reminders, Melissa will also follow up by phone to ensure your service experience with us was satisfactory. You will often hear her cheery voice as she assists during busy times at the service desk.
Working part time allows Melissa the time to pursue her many outdoor sporting interests including mountain biking.

Daryl Gwatkin ( Service Manager )

With 28 years in the motor industry, the past 10 as technician with Central Motor Group, Daryl has stepped up to the position of Service Manager overseeing the technical team and service department. With a thorough knowledge of all things mechanical Daryl looks forward to extending a warm welcome to customers.

Outside of work hours Daryl enjoys family time and home renovating with a little trail bike riding and motorsport thrown in the mix.

Debbie Locke

Debbie Locke keeps the Central Motor Group dealership running like a well-oiled machine and has done so for the past nine years.
Keeping the multi-franchise dealership on an even keel is a critical role which Debbie handles on a day-to-day basis.
Debbie works with all members of the team whether it be the sales or service department to ensure that Central Motor Group maintains its prominent position as a leading motor vehicle dealership for the central North Island.

Darenne Mullen ( Administration Manager )

As Administration Manager with over ten years experience in the motor industry, Darenne’s role is essential to the successful operation of Central Motor Group. In her spare time Darenne’s two young sons keep her busy and when not tending to the kids can be found at the gym trying to work off the weekends evil. After four years of calling Taupō home the family are settled in what they say is the best place in the world to live and work.
