The New Ford Transit has proven popular in New Zealand with 22 per cent year on year growth and New Zealand is not alone in its preference for the Transit; it’s currently the best selling cargo van in the world.
Ford’s 2018 light commercial leadership was also buoyed by the fourth consecutive year of the Ford Ranger being the number one overall best-selling vehicle in the country and by the largest margin yet between it and its nearest competitor.

Ford Transit Auto Arrives!
The new Ford Transit Custom arrived in June 2018 and set a new standard for one-tonne vans with a fresh design, all-new cabin and an advanced state-of-the art turbodiesel engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. Drivers have welcomed the all-new interior and enhanced features designed especially for innovators, smart-working tradies and entrepreneurs.
The new Transit Custom range now includes side curtain air bags, Ford’s Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection as well as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning with Driver Alert. These class leading features make it one of the best safety-equipped vans on the market, while also adding to the Transit Custom’s car-like comfort; an important factor when drivers often spend the entire day in the vehicle as part of their jobs.
Ford Ranger – A Tough Act. Followed.
Customers around New Zealand welcomed a new Ford Ranger in October 2018 and the new Ranger Raptor in November. The 2019 Ford Ranger line up has proven to be an even more capable pick-up with a combination of class-leading technology, safety and convenience features all combined in a package with lower running costs.
The 2019 Ranger was built on the capabilities and off-road credentials that has made the award-winning Ranger the most popular vehicle in New Zealand for four years running and the most popular ute in New Zealand for the last five years. New 5 Year Warranty
Also introduced in 2018 and supporting both 2019 Ranger and Transit is Ford New Zealand’s new 5-year/150,000KM Warranty (whichever occurs first). The new five-year Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty included Ford Transit from 1 August 2018, and upon arrival in October the new 2019 Ford Ranger.
