AUCKLAND, 4 December 2019 – The award-winning Ford Transit Cargo has been updated for the MY2019.75 to offer more car-like comfort, infotainment and Driver Assist Technology, adding to its practicality and cargo-carrying smarts.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection^[ii] is now standard on every MY2019.75 Cargo model, joining the Ford Transit Custom and Ford Ranger which also offer AEB on every model and body-type. Transit Cargo has also been given a fresh exterior update and revised cabin to enhance its car-like features, comfort and practicality.

Every MY2019.75 Ford Transit Cargo is equipped with the powerful 125kW/390Nm EcoBlue engine and latest SYNC^® 3^[iii] infotainment, while van and bus models feature a standard full-colour reversing camera as well as front and rear parking sensors for greater convenience.

Transit’s car-like comfort and driving manner is improved while cargo carrying abilities haven’t been compromised, allowing customers to get the most out of their day.

MY2019.75 Ford Transit Cargo – what’s new?
The updated MY2019.75 Ford Transit Cargo, arriving from December, includes a suite of comprehensive Driver Assist Technologies (DAT)^ii.. AEB with Pedestrian Detection is now standard as are other DAT equipment, including;

While the MY2019.75 Ford Transit Cargo brings additional equipment, it hasn’t been left behind in the style stakes. The exterior has been given an upgrade, with a more prominent three-bar grille, new headlamps and front bumper. While providing a fresh, contemporary look, Transit’s cargo capacity and capability hasn’t been compromised.

Inside, Transit Cargo benefits from a new dash that includes updated instruments, new control panels as well as a full-colour SYNC 3 touchscreen. Replacing the previous 6.5-inch display, the new screen is a prominent, easy to read 8.0-inch colour unit. Transit drivers can also keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road by using SYNC 3’s voice-activated features, including optional voice-activated sat-nav via Apple CarPlay^[i] and Android Auto smartphone compatibility.

In addition, a new seat design aids comfort and support across the line-up, while a full-colour rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, as well as front fog-lamps are standard on van and bus models.

Transit’s advanced new-generation delivers 125kW and 390Nm of torque, it features high pressure direct fuel injection, an advanced aluminium cylinder head, high performance variable geometry turbo as well as auto stop-start for maximum efficiency and lower running costs.
